making magic on 1/16th of an acre
Magic Acre Farm is a permaculture land project & CSA, producing more-than-organic veggies, flowers, and chicken eggs.
Our land trust home provides a 1/16th of an acre container, that we’ve filled with the beginnings of a small perennial food forest, including fruit trees, native prairie gardens, and production beds of annual vegetables and flowers. Our chickens provide high-quality fertilizer (& laughs) and help create a closed loop system.
We live on a magic acre.
Magic Acre is also a collaborative creative project that highlights each of our strengths - Charlie is a mulching enthusiast who feels most alive growing heirloom cucurbits, while Relle is a master event planner and cook who experiences joy through connecting to ancestral food.
We work to cultivate a symbiotic relationship with land: one that helps sustain our community while building a healthier, interconnected soil.
Our CSA shares are filled, but we keep a “Friends of the Farm” list and occasionally send out emails when we have extra produce or flowers.
