Charlie runs Zieke Design, a small creative design studio that supports farmers, artists, and organizations of all sizes with visual storytelling.
Along with their partner Relle, they operate Magic Acre Farm, a permaculture land project and CSA that raises more-than-organic veggies, flowers, and chicken eggs at their land trust home.
Charlie's past work has included supporting land access for immigrant & queer farmers as the Communications Director at Sharing Our Roots Farm, wrangling goats and communications at Great River Montessori School, implementing restoration plans for a community permaculture orchard at Frogtown Farm, and supporting gender-creative students as a longtime GSA advisor.
Charlie grew up on 50 acres of clay soil in rural Houston County, MN and currently lives in Minneapolis. They are committed to creating beautiful, useful objects, rooted in a belief in interconnected systems and a hope for a better future.
